It's a rarity for Vermouth to begin with such high quality, old-vine wine. The winemaker--who learned distilling in his native Belgium before making wine and living in northeastern Spain since 1990--sources rare garnacha blanca from over 100-year-old vines in the historic Terra Alta region as the base for his vermut. For nine weeks, this rare juice macerates with a secret blend of foraged Mediterranean botanicals and cinnamon, clove, vanilla pods, rosemary, thyme, wild fennel, pine shoots, juniper berries, laurel, and more.
The bottle's shape and label are inspired by the iconic tiled sidewalks of Barcelona, designed in 1916 by the Belle Époque firm of Escofet Tejera & Co.
Pair with cheese + charcuterie boards. Drink before dinner over ice with an orange twist or a buttery olive, and sip after dinner straight up with sheep's milk cheeses and marcona almonds. Delicious mixed in cocktails, too.
